The Gambrel Barn is a new barn built to look like it has been standing for a long time... reclaimed wood adds warmth, the aged corrugated tin creates depth and a setting overlooking a valley makes The Gambrel Barn a country venue for every setting. We are a climate controlled barn thus can accommodate indoor and outdoor weddings, receptions, parties and other events every day of the year! The Gambrel Barn is conveniently located halfway between Springfield and Joplin (45 minutes from each), approximately 10 miles from Monett, 8 miles from Mt. Vernon and 3 miles from Freistatt.

The barn itself provides over 5000 sq. feet for indoor weddings, receptions and gatherings. There is another 2100 sq. feet of open air lean to that provides comfortable outdoor dancing, dining, or mingling. The Gambrel Barn is comprised of three sections, all being able to be connected through sliding doors on each side. The main barn space also has a three sided balcony for upstairs seating and dining. If using the main barn and the Harvest room, we can seat up to 400 people. The open air lean to can seat another 100+ people. Whether getting married indoors or outdoors, hosting a reception, banquet or holiday gathering, we will be here to assist your every need!

An outdoor ceremony area is available with a 10x20 foot wooden pergola, 22 split log bench seating and an extra concrete pad (for additional chairs if needed) which provides ease of transitioning from wedding to reception in the main barn. There is also a stamped brick concrete sidewalk all the way from the barn to the pergola and beautiful landscaping. Unlike many other venues, our location is set on our family farm, providing a quiet and serene setting with only a view of nature... nothing else.

We provide white tables and chairs for 300 people and ask that any bride who uses The Gambrel Barn leave a piece of decor behind for the Something Borrowed room. This will allow decor to be used for future brides thus decreasing costs even further for all who use the barn.

The Gambrel Barn also provides a shabby chic Bride's Dressing Room with private rest room, a barber shop inspired Grooms Dressing Room with private rest room, an ADA accessible rest room and full kitchen (refrigerator, stove, sink, deep freeze). The barn is ADA accessible for those in a wheel chair or walker so all can enjoy celebrations at the barn.
