Venue Features
The scene:
The General Muir may be in a brand spanking new development in the heart of Atlanta, but when you step instead the doors you are taken to a place steeped in history -- our shared American history. The space is classic and modern at the same time, providing the perfect backdrop for events of any kind.
Design:
As Bon Appetit pronounced, when it named The General Muir one of its top new restaurants of 2013: "The appealing space, with black-and-white checkered floors and subway-tiled walls, feels less like the well-worn delis of days gone by and more like the ones of the future."

Inspiration for this modern deli came from a 1949 black-and-white photograph of the co-owner's mother on the deck of a refugee transport ship called The General Muir. Its destination, New York City, provided a framework for our design, through its authentic delis and industrial details.
Standout venue features:
Chef and co-owner Todd Ginsberg is a twice nominated James Beard semifinalist: the emphasis on the quality of your meal is matched only by our staff's hospitality.
