Venue Setting
Known for its rustic elegance and flexibility, the Green Building perfectly captures the young, creative spirit of Brooklyn. Built in 1889, the building was originally constructed as a brass foundry; it has since been restored into an elegant venue with more than 6,000 square feet combined indoor-outdoor space. Renovations highlight the building's industrial past; the venue's original exposed brick walls, natural light and open-beamed ceiling make a particularly cool backdrop for your Brooklyn event.

Warehouses typically make for excellent event spaces, as they tend to be known for their high ceilings, wide-open space, big windows, and textural details. Bonus points for warehouses with an interesting story or cool history behind them, as these are the kinds of venues that present a real sense of place for partygoers. We’ve taken a tour of the best industrial spaces around the world and we’re bringing you everything from a warehouse built on a farm in West Australia to an industrial loft space fit for a fashion shoot in NYC. Whatever your warehouse style, we’ve got you covered.

What happens when you book a venue that can accommodate way more guests than are invited? You string up some market lights for warmth, bring in comfort family-style food and seat everyone together at one long table. That’s exactly what Jove Meyer and his fellow creatives did in Brooklyn’s The Green Building for this installment of the Planners Dining Club. They purposefully chose this space that could easily handle an event three times the size of what they had planned just to showcase how you can take a large space and make it perfectly cozy and intimate for a smaller size party.
Inspired by the changing of the seasons, twinkling lights, warming food and larger-than-life florals, this fall-meets-winter gathering serves up serious inspiration. As always, we caught up with Jove – founder, planner and designer of the Planners Dining Club – for a behind the scenes look into this illuminated evening.
