The Jungle Book
Venue Setting
Those looking for a stylish family home removed from the usual rumble of traffic and street noise in central Paris should look no further. Leafy, quiet and village-like, the residential quarter of Batignolles is the perfect base for younger children and adults who wish to delve a little deeper into the 17th arrondissement. From trendy bars on Place de Clichy square, just a seven-minute stroll away, to the quaint bistros and bohemian crowd – there's a real enclave to explore here. Further afield (but not too far) you're under a thirty-minute walk from the Sacré-Cœur and only a further five minutes (on foot) from the Arc de Triomphe. Back inside, the home is set within a period building full of Haussmaniam details while the interior design is colourful and modern. Finding the right balance between Old-World charm and trendy interiors, the living space benefits from heaps of character, with punchy yellow chairs, a forest-green wall, plenty of curated plants, and an intricate fireplace. If you're working from home, there's a stylish office space for you to get your head down, while the child-like bedrooms, grand piano, and super sleek kitchen with brass fittings offer just about everything. But our favourite spot has to be the bright and playful dining area, with natural light streaming through the Juliet balcony doors, appealing artwork, and lots of natural wood – family breakfasts will be a delight.
