What began as a twentieth century farmhouse, grew into this striking, three storey Italian retreat. The original rustic charm has been carefully retained, and panoramic lake views take this home to the next level. Inside, we love the classic Italian styling beneath the sky-high ceilings. Huge windows and glass doors let in the amazing views from outside, plus a whole lot of natural light. The kitchen continues with that rustic vibe, and is kitted out with everything you need. Handily, there’s a separate, self contained annex here, which is perfect for those in your group who like some extra privacy. Now to the outdoors, and back to those views. The rose garden is a heavenly spot from which to gaze at them as you soak up the sun with a glass of wine. A dip in the saltwater pool, shaded by olive trees, is just the tonic on hot days. Come the evening, we can highly recommend firing up the barbecue and eating at the outdoor table, lake in full view, beyond the lush Italian countryside – perfection. For essentials, Civitella del Lago is a short drive away and there are a couple of nice restaurant options there too.
