THE DESIGN Loosely scattered about the park-like grounds with the incomparable setting of Mother Nature’s own magnum opus, our spacious rooms and cottages enjoy a seamless dance between casual elegance and the breathtaking 360-degree vistas. Our pristine 87-acre canyon oasis is just a short walk from one of Southern California’s finest beaches, bringing the best of coast and canyon together in one uniquely Laguna experience. When creating the interiors for The Ranch, our goal was to pay homage to the rich heritage of early California, blending history with the elegant yet rustic coastal beach lifestyle. Each room offers its own private courtyard or viewing deck (some offer both) and affords the business or recreation traveler a distinct taste of the authentic Laguna lifestyle. Interiors feature white board and batten wood-clad walls, which create a historic, cottage vibe. Decorative cement tile accent feature walls give a nod to California’s rich and rustic beginnings. Highlighted design elements include rope-suspended wrought-iron lanterns, vintage distressed leather chairs and wool heathered striped rugs mixed with Plein-Air art, color and texture. This playful décor reflects the historic Southern California lifestyle, redefined by a signature coastal ranch style.
