The newly reinvented resort marries a fresh design with the timeless elements that have been a foundation of the resort over the past 50 years. Inspired by Spanish Revival-architecture, the resort’s new look incorporates Old Havana-style furniture, colors, and textures, along with a spattering of Bauhaus-inspired graphic patterns and lighting. A liberal use of natural light and greenery bring elements of the surrounding outdoors into the resort’s main lobby, creating a fun and lively gathering spot for resort guests and Scottsdale locals alike.

Design:: In partnership with the renowned international hospitality design firm, AvroKO, the design overall exudes a vibrant, Sonoran style with a modern twist. The inspiration for the public spaces was centered around four eclectic design pillars: the colors and comforts of 1930s Havana, the elegant geometry of the Bauhaus, Mission Revival architecture, and the airy, minimalist beauty of the Arizona desert.

The Canal Club, under the direction of Executive Outlets Chef, Chris Castro, specializes in traditional American cuisine with a Caribbean twist. Featuring a studious wine list and inspiring craft cocktails to complement your meal in a fully renovated dining room and lobby infused with the colors and comforts of 1930s Havana aesthetic.

The Canal Club Poolside, set amidst our pools and gardens offers an ample list of refreshing craft cocktails, local beers and more – as well as a selection of appetizers, salads and sandwiches.

The Canal Club’s beverage program is crafted to provide a fresh departure from the local area cocktail scene; a careful infusion of modern technique and classic fundamentals. In addition to a studious wine list, our Beverage Master curated an inspiring cocktail list that stands on its own. The hand-crafted cocktails rotate seasonally and combine locally-inspired ingredients and flavors.
