Venue Setting

In 2012, an east coast city girl moved to Visalia, California - convinced she’d only stay until she found a job by the beach and the surfers. A year later, a Tulare dairy farmer put a ring on her finger and the rest is happy history. Lauren and Daniel got married on their property in March of 2014, and Lauren decided this couldn’t be the last wedding they hosted. We’re excited to meet you!

Westwood Barns is located in Tulare, California. A beautiful drive through our functioning farmland leads guests to parking, and a reclaimed wood bridge brings guests into the wedding yard. The home barn opened for booking in 2016, and in the fall of 2017, The White Barn by Westwood opened to the public. If you’re looking for a rustic barn venue, this is the real deal: fields, cows, old equipment, and dairy farming owners.

Inside Scoop

If you're genuinely interested and ask nicely, Daniel (one of the owners and dairy farmer by day) often offers private dairy tours to guests.

Venue Features
The scene:
A half mile driveway through functioning farmland serves as the entrance to our ceremony field and wedding yard. The ceremony field (usually alfalfa hay or winter wheat) showcases farm-grown green for miles, and a reclaimed wooden bridge spans the canal that separates the ceremony field from the reception yard and barns. Once over the bridge, your gaze is immediately drawn to two 1930s barns and decades-old oak trees that beautifully line the reception lawn. String lights overhead bring a romantic air to the property, and the gentle trickle of the canal brings a tranquil calm only found in country farmland.
Design:
Westwood's reclaimed wood bridge is an immediate show-stopper, and many bridesmaids and brides started their walk down the aisle on this bridge. Once in the reception lawn, the 4x8-foot lighted LOVE marquee sign steals the show for the evening, beckoning guests and couples alike to pose in front for a photo.
Standout venue features:
Clients are provided free access to our field for photos, as well as nearby farmland and our second barn location - The White Barn at Westwood.
Extra perks:
All clients are welcome to use our farmhouse tables, round tables with luxe oatmeal linens, and natural white-washed x-back chairs at no additional cost.
