It’s been well over a decade since Sex and the City ended its glorious run, but we can’t help but imagine the fearsome foursome sitting around a table at While We Were Young, sipping on drinks like, “Summer Fling,” and “The Morning After,” while gabbing about the week’s latest dramas.

While We Were Young is a cute and cozy kitchen and cocktail bar in NYC’s West Village. A gorgeous spot, it’s got all the design features we love (great color palette, brassy accents and tons of thoughtful details). And even more importantly, the menu for cocktails and bites is rad, with a modern vibe and lots of healthy options mixed in with comfort foods. But what makes the place #bucketlist worthy? Strawberry, Champagne on Ice

Brunch with the besties (Char, Carrie, Miranda and Samantha style, of course) is all about the cocktail list, and this bar is nailing the fun names and dynamic flavors. Grab a glass of Bradford’s Mistress, a sweet and jammy strawberry cocktail with the bite of mezcal and the sparkle of bubbly rosé. Pair it with the burrata with candied peaches, sour cherries and toasted hazelnuts, or go with a classic chicken and waffles with kale batter. The menu alone is enough to make this spot bucket list material.

We Were Together, I Forget The Rest

The floor-to-ceiling windows at WWWY peer out onto the charming streets of the West Village. You walk in and immediately notice the curved marble bar top, brassy accents and sweet rose tufted banquette seating. And then you start to notice the details: neon signage in the corner, pops of gold everywhere from the light fixtures to the pretty barware, a friendly pack of gummy bears at the end of your meal. And really, what’s more bucket list appropriate than snapping a peek at the neon sign that proclaims, “we were together, I forget the rest,” when you’re sipping on cocktails with the people who matter most to you at a cute little spot in the West Village.

For those unfamiliar with New York's greatest neighborhoods, you're in for a real treat if you choose to spend a day around these digs. You can find just about every major fashion label's shop nearby, and it's not uncommon to spot a celeb or two walking down the street. In fact, you might even catch a glimpse of SJP in real life, as this area is her stomping grounds. A trip to the West Village is what urban bucket list goals are made of.
