Our crew recently teamed up with Foray Collective to send some major fashion It Girls off to one of our favorite Hawaii vacay spots. Perched on a rugged red lava cliff that towers over the white sandy beach below, the Four Seasons Lanai was home base for a series of photo shoots and adventures for a handful of Foray Collective’s top fashion influencers.

While staying at this (did we mention gorgeous?) resort, the ladies rode horseback through the Lanai hills, hopped a catamaran to the best snorkeling spots in Hawaii, and indulged in lots of acai bowls. If you’re about that life, check out the offers you can book exclusively through The Venue Report. Perfectly timed, the horseback riding and snorkeling excursions are on special till just before Valentine’s Day (hint, hint).

Here’s the DL from Foray Collective about their experience at Four Seasons Lanai. We do not claim responsibility for the legit FOMO you’re about to feel.

Urban Dictionary defines Friendsgiving as, “the celebration of Thanksgiving dinner with your friends. This usually occurs on the Wednesday before or the Friday after Thanksgiving Day, since Thanksgiving is usually reserved for family gatherings.” Yet, here at the Venue Report, we define Friendsgiving as, “a time to gather all the crazy characters in your life to sit down at one beautiful table and eat too much, drink too much, laugh too much, and have an epic dance party in a gorgeous setting.” We’re willing to bet that most of you agree with the latter definition and have likely celebrated a holiday or two in this fashion.

And since it’s not every day that we get to hear the scoop behind an awesome brand collaboration, you can imagine how stoked we were to interview photographer Hannah Merritt about this photo shoot she did with stylist and social media darling Mel Denisse. All clothing and some of the decorative accessories were provided by Urban Outfitters, and Mel put together the vision of this Friendsgiving by the lake. We’d say she pretty much nailed it, since now all we can think about is planning our next Friendsgiving. Check out what Hannah has to say about this cool collab.

In New York City, there are a million cool things happening at once. It seems impossible to keep track of the stylish and spectacular and, at times, feels like a full-time job just to know the name of the Big Apple’s latest go-to. If you’re a month behind, it might as well be a year.

Alas, not all of us are lucky enough to have voguish friends who know all the hip spots and good deals—especially ones that are wildly fun and yet so down to earth. That’s why we absolutely couldn’t resist talking to the charismatic girls of Taste The Style about their “Staycationers” series. The angle for their series is simple; stay in awesome NYC hotels and blog about it. Honestly, what better gig is there to have in the City of the World?

This time around, the ladies kicked it at SoHo's newest luxury hotel, 11 Howard. So we at the Venue Report put ourselves on a mission to unveil the ins and outs of THE STAYCATIONERS night life, hoping to learn how to recreate the ultimate sleepover they seem to have down to a science. And it made for one heck of a Q&A!

A girls getaway weekend would not be complete without a little surf, sun, and style. Enter the brand spankin’ new Surfjack Hotel on Waikiki. This cute boutique hotel, on Hawaii’s favorite throwback island, packs more vintage charm punch than a rock solid beach boys-only playlist. We can totally picture you and the girl squad lounging around in your kaftans, sipping on cocktails, rocking out to rockabilly surf tunes at this cool spot.

Local art, cool surfboards, and nods to Hawaii’s epic surf culture abound at these modern digs. Check out the three-bedroom suites for some slumber party mania that’s way more grown-up than your parents’ basement.
For the DL on the new Surfjack Hotel, we went straight to the source. Here’s what their people have to say about the cool boutique motel.

Parachute has famously put customers to bed in the coziest linens with their heads atop the softest pillowcases. The bedding company's founder and CEO, Ariel Kaye, was inspired to deliver luxury comfort to bedrooms across the country following a picturesque stay on Italy’s Amalfi Coast. There, after an exhausting day taking in the glories of the colorful seaside paradise, she crawled into bed and it was like sinking into dreams. It was the bed every traveler wishes for, the one they forever hope awaits them after an extraordinary day of hikes, bites, and rides. That’s why the woman who gave us the softest sleeping experience ever is taking things up a notch—by opening a hotel.
