Whenever we hear that the crew over at Bash Please has their hands on something, we just know it’s gonna be good – like, real good. This gathering of wedding industry folks that was planned by Bash Please for Minted delivered the cool factor we’ve come to expect from everyone involved. Hosted at HNYPT, this Downtown Los Angeles brunch has all the Pinterest-worthy imagery you could ask for. Who says brunch can’t be inspiring? Certainly not this crew!

Hosted by Minted, this industry meet-up brought together some of LA’s top wedding planners and designers to nosh on a delicious brunch, sip on boozy drinks, make to-go bouquets, try their hands at calligraphy, and be inspired by all things wedding related. The hosts even set up four inspired tabletops – a tall task for the crowd they were impressing!

We recently had a second to download with the Minted team about this awesome event and we were so impressed by their brand’s interest in cultivating a strong sense of community within the wedding industry. And to that we say, gather on and keep the inspiration coming!

What was this event for? Why did you choose this lovely venue space?

We hosted the event at HNYPT Los Angeles to connect with so many of the talented and inspiring people that work in the surrounding Los Angeles area in the wedding industry. The LA area is such a hotbed of innovation and creativity in the wedding space.

We were immediately drawn to HNYPT for its clean lines, bright and airy feeling and its ability to be a blank slate. That way we were able to completely bring the Minted brand to light.

Minted is a community of independent artists so we felt the fact that HNYPT was a creative space for local artists in downtown LA was meant to be.

What food did you serve? Why did you choose to host a brunch gathering?

We served a buffet style brunch from the talented team at Urban Palate. They have the most beautiful food displays and it tastes good too!

Everyone is busy these days, sometimes its nice to be able to take a mid-day break for brunch on a weekday when normally you would be busy typing away.

What did you teach?

We wanted to bring the Minted brand to life in-person for people we work with all of the time digitally. Because we are a community of artists, we had a Los Angeles based artist, Aspacia Kusulas create custom monograms for guests on the spot.

Another aspect of our brand we were able to portray physically was that we can complete your wedding look from matching stationery through to day-of decor. We used 3 different wedding invitations designs to completely inspire our day-of tablescapes.

Why do you think it's important to host in-person gatherings like these in the industry?

It was so important to us to have the face-to-face interaction since most of the attendees we have worked with for years but never met in-person before. People can get lost in emails and the like, but the real relationships and partnerships stem from in-person events where you are able to make real connections.
