A ceremony aisle adorned with small sparkly ice sculpture votives and cozy cashmere blankets set on a pier over a small lake on the Ranch, oh, buoy! Pure winter genuis by florist designer Sarah Winward and Laurie Arons. We are also in love with the idea of getting married on a pier during the chillier months, totally unexpected and totally dreamy. Modern nature in mother nature has never looked better.

Ghost Chairs

Foggy and moody winter weddings are always magical. Add in the ethereal nature of ghost chairs around an elegant candle filled table and you have set the scene for an alfresco fete, almost too gorg to be true. Strawberry Milk Events designed this ghost chair laden wedding at The Anderson House, built more than 100 years ago in Washington, DC. The venue is considered to be the captial city's "most fashionable mansion."

Nothing spells lovin’ like a little wedding day rain. When having an outdoor winter wedding, you are definitely playing with the elements. Instead of running from rain, embrace the great outdoors and have clear umbrellas on hand for your guests. Not only do they create a romantic vibe and a great photo-op, but they also won't block the views at the ceremony. Rain is good luck after all!

Ivory Bridal Capes

There are not many occassions in life when you will get the opportunity to wear an ivory cape. This bride chose a wedding dress from Marchesa and added a pop of bright red lipstick for her snowy wedding in Austria. The romance of a snowy outdoor wedding during a snow blizzard on top of a hill! And a horse drawn sleigh... Swoon! The magic went down at Hotel Klosterbräu, a former 16th-century monastery. See the full wedding on Style Me Pretty.

Sumava, Czech Republic

This couple surpised their guests with a secret wedding set amongst snowfall under the cosmic sky in the Sumava Mountains of the Czech Republic. Only a few of the couple's friends knew about it, the idea was to simply enjoy one another in nature. The guests even carried sleds and went sledding after the wedding. "When you held your breath, the only thing that you could hear were the snowflakes. And the world was all white." Yes please, we would like to see more weddings like this in 2018. While we love a gorgeous alfresco winter event, warehouses and barns, we feel a pull to bring the traditional ballroom back. We are especially loving ballrooms and historic venues with architectural mouldings and touches like Vibiana in Los Angeles.

We will keep your favorites safe & sound here.
