- The Scene:
- Your arrival at Blueberry Brook Farm Resort will engage all your senses. Find yourself immersed in the vibrant greens of lush forests and rolling hills, while the calming blues of our serpentine rivers and streams grace the landscape. Tune into the harmonious sounds of nature: the gentle song of the White-Throated Sparrow, distinctive calls of the Red-Wing Blackbird, melodious notes of the Northern Cardinal, and the delightful chirp of my personal favorite, the Chickadee.
Breathe in the sweet fragrances that permeate the air - honeysuckle and lilac in full bloom, the delicate scent of evening primrose, and the earthy aroma of camphorweed. Embrace a moment of tranquillity seated on the forest floor, caressing the cool, velvet-green moss under your hand, and perhaps even discovering arrowheads, glimmers of pink quartz, and sparkling garnet in the creek bed.
After exploring the surroundings, make your way through our extensive blueberry patch. With over 500 bushes and two different species to sample, your taste buds are in for a joyful dance of delight. Succumb to the plump, sundrenched berries bursting with sweetness – an authentic taste of summertime and the perfect finale to your sensory exploration at Blueberry Brook Farm Resort. - Design:
- The mainstay of our resort is a picturesque 19th-century Renaissance Victorian Farmhouse, a piece of history built atop the original foundation. Wrapped in whispers of intrigue, legend has it that this grand estate never really served as a home. Instead, it's said to have been a facade, cleverly disguising a major bootlegging operation during the era of Prohibition.
Another exceptional part of our resort’s landscape is the old schoolhouse dating back to 1855 - an enduring symbol of the village of Stittville's inception. This historical edifice not only served as an academic institution but also functioned as a place of worship for the local community. Imagine a single room brimming with over 40 children engrossed in learning to read and write. During harvest seasons, classes would shrink to half their size, as the demands of farming took precedence.
Despite its historical significance and multi-functional purpose, the cost to build this unassuming schoolhouse was a mere $400— a stark contrast to the value it holds today. Nearly two centuries later, the schoolhouse remains a vessel for learning. No longer just a space for mastering the ABC's, it now serves as a living testament to our rich and diverse history. - Standout Venue Features:
- A landmark feature of Blueberry Brook Farm Resort is undoubtedly our namesake - the Blueberry Patch. The patch is usually open to the public, except during private events. Its intoxicating aroma, the captivating hues of blue, and the irresistible flavors of the berries themselves make this corner a standout highlight of the property.
However, it's not just the external beauty that we pride ourselves on. Countless hours have been spent crafting our interiors to applaud and supplement the inherent natural beauty of our surroundings. With whimsically chosen color palettes that reflect the serenity of our outdoor spaces, the creativity of our architectural design seamlessly ties the inside with the out.
Inside, you'll find two libraries abundantly stocked with rare books, an appealing draw for bibliophiles amongst our guests. Furnished with 19th-century Louis XIV era pieces, our interiors exude an aura of timeless grandeur. Moreover, a vast collection of eclectic antiques, curated from across time periods, are arranged with the eye of an artist and await your admiration. Our painstaking attention to detail in creating these mesmerizing spaces is sure to leave lasting impressions. - Extra Perks:

During the blueberry harvest at our resort, we highly recommend trying our signature blueberry lemonade. It is simply divine as a stand-alone refreshment bursting with freshness. But if you're feeling adventurous, it pairs exceptionally well with your favorite spirit - further enhancing the delightful blueberry flavor that is the essence of our unique resort.
