The Scene:
Located in Knightsbridge on the edge of Hyde Park, the Bulgari Hotel London is both a haven of calm in the centre of the city and yet under a minute’s walk from such landmarks as the famous Harrods department store. Since opening in 2012, Bulgari has set new standards among the luxury hotels of the British capital. Elegant contemporary architecture and Bulgari’s legendary flair for design are matched by class-leading quality of service.

As an entirely new-build property, Bulgari London benefits from having been conceived and designed from inception as a luxury hotel. Noted architect and designer Antonio Citterio was given free rein to create an environment that is faithful both to the design heritage of Bulgari and the status of London as one the world’s most exciting, dynamic and international cities.

With furnishings from Citterio’s Flexform Collection, handcrafted drapes by Enzo degli Angiuoni, plush carpeting by Altai and B&B module libraries featuring a carefully selected collection of all time classics and design books, Bulgari London presents an outstanding and elegant setting to hotel guests and locals alike.

Signature use of silver throughout the property offers subtle quotations from Bulgari’s roots as a Roman silversmith, a theme that is carried throughout the hotel, with such touches as the specially woven silk curtains featuring a pattern inspired by a brooch made by the firm’s founder Sotirio Bulgari during the 19th century.

Standout Venue Features:
The Screening Room, dedicated to Sir Richard Attenborough, is a unique 47-seat cinema at the Bulgari Hotel. Offering the ultimate exclusive experience, it features the most advanced cinema-quality HD sound and vision, 4K resolution in 2D or the latest Dolby 3D. A curated library has over 200 new and classic films. As well as hosting film premieres and private screenings, the multi-function room is ideal for press events and corporate presentations. There is every feature one would expect including live screening and playback of broadcast, integrated technology with individual electronic voting and microphones as well as dedicated Audio Visual Support. The room is perfectly insulated to ensure zero sound reverberations.
Awards & Notables

In 2009, Bulgari decided to take action on behalf of disadvantaged children around the world, as too many children are unable to fulfill their own aspirations because their lack of education perpetuates the cycle of poverty. Partnering with Save the Children, Bulgari launched a campaign of unprecedented ambition and scope, in which part of the proceeds from the sale of Save the Children jewelry – custom designed by Bulgari – is donated to the charity.

Inspired by the iconic B.zero1 jewelry line, the special collection comprises a ring, launched in October 2010, and a new pendant, launched in April 2014. The collection's two pieces are available in Bulgari stores worldwide, select department stores and on Bulgari’s website (in the US and Japan) for €420 ($480) each, of which €75 ($100) is donated to Save the Children. After almost five years, the partnership has developed into a strong and long-term relationship.

Bulgari supports some of Save the Children's key strategic areas of intervention, including emergency relief, with a targeted focus on education, as it is the company's bold belief that no lasting development is made without education and learning. Interventions target the children most difficult to reach, while tackling the growing problem of urban poverty. With the additional proceeds from the sale of the new pendant, Bulgari is expanding the scope of its activities and focus on health by supporting Save the Children’s life-saving interventions for the most vulnerable children: newborns.

Over the past decade, the world has made amazing progress in reducing child mortality – which has nearly halved from 12 million to 6.6 million – thanks to global political action on immunization, treatment of pneumonia, diarrhea and malaria, family planning and nutrition. But this progress could stall without urgent action to tackle scandalously high numbers of newborn deaths. Bulgari has decided to take a stand in this global effort, saving the lives of 50,000 babies and their mothers through a financial commitment of €1 million. With enormous influence and unrivaled experience on the ground, Save the Children is the world’s largest independent international organization running programs in developing as well as developed countries. Teaming up with Bulgari’s brand ambassadors, it continues its exemplary work wherever its support is needed most.

To date, Save the Children’s programs have reached over 600,000 children and trained over 20,000 teachers through educational activities and initiatives in more than 1,200 schools, many of which are located in areas affected by conflict, extreme poverty or emergencies. Bulgari’s donations benefit under-privileged children in 23 countries, including: Afghanistan, Albania, Australia, Bolivia, Bosnia-Herzegovina, Brazil, China, Colombia, Democratic Republic of the Congo, Haiti, India, Italy, Ivory Coast, Mexico, Montenegro, Japan, Jordan, Kenya, South Sudan, Uganda, the UK and the US.
