There aren't enough words to describe how much we adore this gorgeous Cotswolds barn. At first glance, you can't help but draw your eye skywards to the restored dovecote in the living area – we've never seen anything like it, and when combined with the enormous vaulted ceiling, original flagstone floors and wooden beams, it's truly something special. All the cosy comforts are accounted for here – sumptuous sofas, a log-burning fire, board games for rainy days, quirky milk churn stools in the kitchen – but the home has modern conveniences, too. Underfloor heating keeps frosty toes at bay, rainfall showers and a lush soaker tub await in the en-suite bathrooms and the wine fridge ensures your bottles of bubbly are extra chilled. Mealtimes couldn't be easier in the kitchen – pick up some fresh produce from the local farm shops and cook up a storm. On sunny days, fire up the barbecue in the courtyard instead before gathering around the fire pit for some stargazing. When you fancy a day out, you've got plenty of options. There are 120-acres of farmland to explore, for starters. Don your walking shoes and ramble through the countryside, gathering herbs from the garden and stopping to smell the abundance of flowers. Or hop in the car and head to Chipping Campden for charming pubs, local eateries and independent shops. Better yet, ask your host about arranging something extra special, like cooking classes, at-home massages and private chefs.
