Venue Setting

We’re licensed by Devon County Council to hold civil marriage and civil partnership ceremonies so you can be legally married in our oak-frame wedding barn which can be decorated as simply or elaborately as you choose. If you prefer a humanist ceremony, we can help you organise that too.

After your wedding ceremony, lead your guests onto the lawns for our outdoor games including croquet and giant jenga or (if it’s raining) gather under the glass roofs on the terrace or in our own clear-walled marquee for drinks and delicious canapes before sitting down to a gourmet wedding breakfast. You can hire a band or DJ and use our zone array sound system with star lit dance floor to provide dancing and partying for your guests.

Wake up to your first morning as a married couple in our newly refurbished 18th century honeymoon cottage featuring vaulted ceilings, wood-burning stove, 2-person free-standing bath and luxury bedroom suite with its own private wisteria-covered first floor deck overlooking the gardens. We also have a self-contained 1 bedroom annexe with en-suite available for 2 additional wedding guests.
