We have taken our funky shipping container hotel (Flophouze) and paired it up with our on-site architectural salvage showroom (Recycling the Past) and created The Round Top Ballroom. This 12,000 square foot Industrial Warehouse provides guests a relaxed atmosphere as they mingle, dine, and celebrate amidst unique artifacts and antiques gathered from around the globe. With large bays throughout, this layout can be used in so many different ways to create the exact set up you are looking for, with the one-of-a-kind props and decor to go along with it. We kick the unique, eco-chic vibe up a notch with our on-site lodging at Flophouze. Texas’ one and only Shipping Container Hotel- where the vinyls are always spinning and the fire pit is nice and warm.

In the back of the property overlooking the pasture, you will find our popular Shipping Container Hotel-Flophouze. When combined, these two elements come together as our Venue - The Round Top Ballroom, to give our guests the ultimate unique experience for their next event.

The scene:
Flophouze was conceived through our mothership, Recycling The Past - our 12,000 sqft space filled with treasures we have collected and salvaged from all over the world. Our vast inventory of vintage building materials, reclaimed lumber, unique furnishings, salvaged aircraft parts, and wonders from Mother Earth can be found throughout our shop. Now, Imagine Recycling the Past's plethora of artifacts, antiques, and recycled materials combined with amazing designs- all coming together in one place. And so, we present to you: The Round Top Ballroom. Our venue provides guests a relaxed atmosphere as they mingle, dine, and celebrate amidst unique artifacts and antiques gathered from around the globe. All items on display at the Ballroom are for sale as well so chances are you could leave there with more than what you came in with.

Our Flophouze Shipping Container Hotel is conveniently located on the same property and available to book if you want to keep the party going. The RT Ballroom is open year-round for every type of event including nonprofit functions, farm-to-table parties, weddings, photo/video shoots, and corporate events. The open kitchen layout is cozy enough for small gatherings but has ample amenities and prep space for large parties. The Round Top Ballroom will be sure to make your next event amazing and memorable!
Design:
The large doors open on either side of the venue, providing a cool breeze throughout and an upbeat atmosphere. Immediately upon walking in, you will notice an overwhelming number of interesting artifacts and collectibles that Matt has collected on his travels. The design could best be described as a place for everything - It's eclectic, eco-chic, industrial, modern, vintage, architecture, antiques and salvage all in one. The Round Top Ballroom is truly something you have to stand back and take in at first, that is what makes it so appealing - being surrounded by so many unique pieces that tell a story and have a history.
