Behind the Craftsman style wooden gates, in the heart of Old Pasadena is our expansive, park-like courtyard. Your event can be held on the soft grass surrounded by high ivy covered walls, manicured flower beds and brick walkways all under the filtered light of our formidable, centenarian camphor tree.

Tables are set up on the grass with crisp linens and bright centerpieces. Our raised deck around the tree or the brick patio off our sunny catering kitchen offer spots for roasting, toasting and dancing. Craftsman-style lanterns hanging in the tree shed soft ambient night lighting. Add Happy Trails Catering’s cuisine and every event becomes a truly memorable experience.

    Client is responsible for subcontracting with a florist, photographer, music, officiant, and a bakery for a wedding cake. Client may provide all the bar stock (eg., alcohol, non-alcoholic beverages, mixers, condiments). The physical bar, ice, glassware and bartender will be provided by venue.

    The scene:
    Our location, Happy Trails Garden is directly behind our sparkling kitchen. Our craftsman style gates open onto the garden in the heart of Old Pasadena. Wedding ceremonies are held on the raised deck at the base of a huge camphor tree that umbrellas the entire garden. Guest seating is on the grass with crisp linens and bright centerpieces. A natural stand of bamboo can backdrop the head table. Brick patios and walkways connect the flower filled garden and offer areas for music and dancing.

    We offer Carry-Out Catering or Full-Service Catering including service staff and rental equipment. Our seasonal food is prepared from the freshest ingredients and as close to serving as possible. We love to create a menu of your personal favorites, knowing your celebration should be a reflection of you. Our staff is warm and professional and well trained to help with every detail.

    We will happily coordinate rental equipment, such as guest seating, china, silverware, glassware and anything else necessary. We can also arrange for rain tents, heaters, dance floors and much more.
