Vibrant vintage touches from the original 1920's pharmacy are prevalent throughout this perfectly posh purveyor of organic oyster goodness. We're green with tile envy as the emerald overwhelms us with it's elegance. Bottom line: this beautiful bivalve bastion is utterly unique and effortlessly chic in it's celebration possibilities.

Venue Setting

The interior is smartly done; it's reminiscent of the pharmacy it once was, but in a warm, friend's-house sort of way. Small copper-topped and marble bistro tables surrounded by vintage pharmacy cabinetry. A large patio areas provide plenty of outdoor seating.

Our building in the 1920's housed the first African American Pharmacy in Austin. We now use vintage the pharmacy cabinetry and soda fountain to serve farm to table meals 7 days a week.

Venue Features
The Scene:
The building housed Austin\'s first black-owned pharmacy, and the antique wooden display cases, tin ceiling, and hex-tiled floor. The pharmaceutical theme is playfully carried over to the salt and pepper shakers and other accoutrements, and the display cases now house locally made foodstuffs, such as Yellow Bird Hot Sauce, Zhi Teas, and Round Rock Honey. The outdoor patio is bordered with planters filled with herbs and flowers, and shaded by crisp new awnings and umbrellas.
Awards & Notables Merit Award from the Heritage Society of Austin for preservation of a historic property.
