Hopewood House (est. 1884) is nestled in Bowral, a convenient 90 minute drive from Sydney, an hour from Canberra, or two hours from the Blue Mountains region. The Dutch Colonial estate is complimented seamlessly by its original established gardens and the regions famous rolling countryside.

The story of your event with Hopewood is woven into the history of the property - through the original Residence, the Pavilion, Chapel Lawns and other outdoor entertainment areas. Hopewood is a hidden nest of grand tranquility and charm.

The Hopewood Residence:
Explore the gardens and discover statues dotted around the original residence all while marvelling at the architecture - Considered a ‘grand estate’ there is an immense history to this property established in 1884. The Hopewood residence can be made available as an exclusive addition to any event; host afternoon drinks and canapés on the main verandahs and enjoy full use of the conservatory, ballroom and glamorous powder rooms.

The Pavilion:
The Pavilion is located a short walk through the parterre gardens from the original residence - it is the modern provincial addition to the property. The Pavilion's featured spaces include the Gallery, Upstairs Dining Room & Chukka Bar Lounge, the Terrace Nightclub and Lounge areas, the Bong Bong Bar and outdoor seating areas. Tastefully styled with chandeliers, along with classical and contemporary antiques throughout, all areas can be decorated and customised to your individual events specifications.
The Garden Chapel & Lawn:
The Garden Chapel and Lawn is the ideal outdoor ceremony setting. Walk through the parterre style gardens, past the hedge mazes and discover the garden chapel elegantly dressed in florals - the perfect stage for the exchange of vows or speech with your guests seated comfortably on the chapel lawn. The Garden Chapel is located nearby the White Dove Topiary where Hopewood's white Peacocks have been sighted.
The Rose Walk:
Hidden behind the hedges and unseen from the Garden Chapel lies the Rose Walk - a long and peaceful stroll through archways lined seasonally lined by white and pink roses.
Outdoor Garden Fireplace:
An intimate and warm outdoor space perfect for afternoon entertainment; A favourite place of our previous guests who have enjoyed swing bands, champagne, and canapés all set against the backdrop of Hopewood's beautifully manicured gardens.
Games Lawns & Tennis Court:
Celebrate the outdoors with your guests and play a range of games - Croquet, Boules, giant Jenga and more dotted throughout the gardens. The energetic can enjoy rounds of Tennis, others can simply relax in the outdoor lounges enjoying the company and celebrations of a special day.
