"The sound of silence,” the quietude of this impeccably restored 1600s Scottish farmhouse.
Within the heavy stone walls, the soothing, understated Scandi-Scot décor reflects both the Danish owners of the past 10 years and the inherent Scotch history of the property. Share all four seasonal meals at communal tables with guests boarding in the cottage or in one of the four farmhouse rooms, and, as an invigorating optional excursion, partake in the Scandinavian tradition of plunging in ice-cold water.

The estate dates back to 1603 and for decades was owned by the eccentric and charismatic Mrs. Sandison. At Killiehuntly you have the chance to experience the spirit and values of when the World seemed a simpler place.

All our rooms at Killiehuntly are spacious double rooms. Having said that they are all different. Each with its own special and unique character reflecting the history of the house and its previous inhabitants.

With only four rooms, a cottage and a cosy hayloft, Killiehuntly offers you an exclusive and personal retreat.

During the summer and autumn, we harvest what grows on our farm and from nearby farmers. We prepare your food using traditional methods.

The main house is stylishly refurbished with contemporary furniture made by Danish design-masters and modern Scottish craftsmen.

Our Hayloft is a charming and cosy new extension of the Steadings which is situated opposite the farmhouse.
