“We dedicate this place to dreams”… This was the phrase that marked the completion of the seemingly infinite work on this old house with 300 years of history behind l’Avellana Mas d’en Cabré there is a story of love, a family, enthusiasm, happiness and a dream, above all a dream…

Our dream was to create a unique place, a different place, a personal place, where everybody feels welcome. To transmit our feeling of home, well-being, memories and sweetness, of dedication, of harmony with nature… A place where time stands still… A place to disconnect and enjoy the moment… The past years have been many and diverse, from couples that say their “I dos”, friends getting together, family celebrations and even a surprise party!

We excitedly watch this place become magical for so many people that have trusted us to help them celebrate the most special days of their lives… and this phrase that originally marked the walls of our home becomes a reality in each and every passing moment at l’Avellana.

The Scene:
l'Avellana, a place dedicated to dreams... dedicated to the ambition of helping people turn their dreams into reality. A centuries old house situated in a privileged area surrounded by hazelnut trees, in nature’s full splendour. l'Avellana, a name which honours 300 years of history and allows us to cherish our origins.

La Era
Just in front of principal facade is a big round plaza from the original 1736 pavement. Back then, this place was used for work during the hazelnut harvest. Now its the perfect place to enjoy a welcoming cocktail or a product presentation.

The Saint’s Corner
A nostalgic corner located at one of the angles of the house beneath the shade of a great plane tree and encompassed by spectacular views of the forests which surround the property. The name comes from the mural done by the owner’s grandmother who created a mosaic there using ceramic tiles and shells collected from a nearby beach.

The Hall / The Entrance
In the olden days this was the entrance for carriages. A stunning chandelier illuminates this initimate space.

La Sala / The Great Room
This great room of the house is composed of a large stone wall serving as a reminder of the home’s history and a facade of windows overlooking the stunning views of picturesque natural scenery surrounding the house. The versatility of this space makes it easily adaptable to all sorts of celebrations.

Grandma´s Garden
An enchanting private garden surrounded by an old stone wall where the fragrance flowers and aromatic herbs add a little extra charm and personality to the environment. Here the grandmother of the owner planted her aromatic plants 100 years ago.

The olive tree plot
An impressive 450m2 plot of centenary olive trees. This space allows our guests to enjoy a spectacular panoramic view of the property and  the surrounding mediterranean landscapes.

Nature and gardens
The 56 hectares of hazelnut trees and forest that belong to Mas d’en Cabre guarantee privacy, allowing guests to forget about civilisation and lose themselves in the immensity and beauty of Mediterranean nature.

This finca is situated in the famous wineregion of El Priorato. It is a region with an old tradition of wine, hazelnuts, olives and almonds.
Design:
In the restoration of this landmarked farmhouse, very close attention was paid to the finest details in order to blend tradition with imagination and modernity.

The dominate colours are classic white and Mediterranean blue, which was salvaged from the old window frames from the centenary construction, together with grey from the stones which give shape and form to this unmistakable setting. This unique rural house is home to a grand interior room and various outdoor spaces.

The interior decoration is a mixture of eclectic, rustic and vintage designs. At the most important aspect, that it is renovated constantly in order to make it every year surprising and different!

We have enthusiastically and lovingly created this place and our aim is that the events celebrated here transmit all of this together with the host's hopes, dreams, and aspirations.

We work only with caterers. We have an own big kitchen of 100sqm where all the food is prepared.
