Venue Setting

Oz Farm offers a very special setting for weddings and receptions. And we're delighted to see more couples holding ceremonies renewing their vows or celebrating the anniversary of their nuptials here.

Wedding parties typically rent Oz Farm for the full Thursday-to-Monday "long weekend", just like any other group: you and your guests may arrive at 2 p.m. on Thursday and stay until 12 p.m. on Monday.

Oz Farm hosts overnight groups of up to thirty people. Recent visitors include groups celebrating family reunions, anniversaries, birthdays, bachelor/bachelorette parties and weddings (up to 125 day guests); corporate or non-profit retreats; and workshops engaging in yoga, meditation, Tai Chi, cooking, art and river studies.

The basic fees for wedding groups above cover a maximum of 100 day guests per day at any single event. This limit does not include the relatively small number of your guests who will be staying at Oz, typically no more than 30.

There is an additional $20 per person charge for every person over the 100 limit for each day there's an event with more than 100 day guests. For example, if your event had 130 day guests one day and 125 the next, there would be an additional fee of $1,100.

The Scene:

Oz Farm is hidden in a quiet, private valley on one of the most pristine stretches of the scenic Mendocino County coast, 130 miles north of San Francisco. The Farm's location is about two miles from the Pacific coast as the crow flies, and close to many coastal towns and parks with their recreational and cultural offerings.

Bordered with redwood forest, and with the Garcia River running through its 240 acres, Oz Farm is blessed with tranquility, fresh air and clear water. Oz Farm is 'off-the-grid', using solar and wind power for all its operations.

Since 1990, Oz Farm has been growing certified organic (CCOF) apples and pears as well as a full range of vegetables and cut flowers available to purchase for your event.

Design:
Our shabby chic cabins are uniquely tucked on the edge of the forest offering relaxation and rejuvenation, along with outstanding views of the farm.

The large Community House is the perfect mixture of comfortable and accommodating, which ties together any retreat or event authentically creating a family/tribe vibe. With large open windows, a fully equipped kitchen, wood burning stove, large family table and wide open deck to share meals or bird watch, it doesn't take long for this house to feel like home.

The Batthhouse offers a spa-like get away with two claw foot bathtubs overlooking rows of apple orchards. The wood burning cedar hot tub offers the luxury of a hot spring; all natural, off the grid, tucked under a 100 year old walnut tree.
Standout Venue Features:
There is private beach access to the pristine Garcia river that offers an instant cure to any hangover, along with custom trails through the redwood forest with experimental architecture relics for the adventurers to find. We offer guided tours through our bio-dynamic organic farm fields along with personal wild herbal foraging walks and talks. Enjoy impromptu jam sessions around the campfire, and create the best pizza you've ever had in our wood burning cob pizza oven.
