The Barn at Primo is situated a top the green hills of our private, four acre, organic farm on the beautiful Mid-Coast of Maine. We have many wonderful relationships with local vendors, wedding and event planners and are happy to refer you.
The basic venue rental fee is $3500 for up to 75 guests. Parties exceeding 75 guests and requiring outdoor seating for dinner may incur additional venue fees.
All tents must be approved by PRIMO are the sole financial responsibility of the client.
Please inquire about reduced rental fees in May, June, November & December.
In addition to weddings, we welcome rehearsal dinner parties, corporate groups and a multitude of other gatherings.

Chef Kelly may be famous, but this does not change her intense, unwavering commitment to Primo. On any night, you can find her, in the kitchen, leading her team of dedicated chefs. We are a TRUE farm-to-table restaurant with many of the ingredients we use being harvested directly from our almost 5 acre farm. Come for an afternoon visit! Walk through the gardens, say hello to the chickens, ducks and of course the Primo pigs. Our amazing staff are the definition of seasoned service professionals, many of which travel in the off season to continue working, gaining experience and doing what they love - cooking, serving, gardening, bartending, etc. We are a team of many talents and celebrate the many “in house artists throughout the season. We also have locations in Tucson, Arizona and Orlando, Florida both located within the J.W Marriot resorts.

After 15 seasons, numerous awards, recognitions and two other locations, Primo - Rockland Maine has matured into what Chef Melissa Kelly calls a "Full Circle Kitchen..." the ultimate farm to table experience.
What started with a garden, a few hens and a couple of pigs has now become an evolution of food; an endless pursuit to accomplish more. Primo is much more than a restaurant, it is about love and respect for food. It is also about creativity. Produce is grown & harvested here and the animals are raised on the property. Nothing is wasted – everything has its place. It is a continuous cycle that occurs throughout the restaurant with, the kitchen, the animals and the gardens. The kitchen uses and savors every little piece. Seasonal to the moment, it is actually the farm and the garden that make the incredible ever-changing menu.
With two greenhouses and acres of produce, each day harvests: honey, fruits, veggies, eggs, edible flowers, micro-greens, fresh chicken and house cured & smoked meats. What is not grown at the restaurant comes from other local and sustainable farms that owners Chef Melissa Kelly and Price Kushner are proud to support.
The Primo experience is truly special and unique.
Primo downstairs offers another type of dining experience - a different ambience. The original parlor rooms are warm, intimate and cozy, perfect for a more formal celebratory meal. These rooms have lovely views of the Atlantic Ocean and the Primo farm provides a stunning backdrop to a refined dining experience.
The larger, new 'Primo Room' also offer an intimate aura, but allows for a more modern, yet traditional vibe. Reservations are always suggested for dinner downstairs.
For the second season in a row, Primo will feature a "Primo Family" member's artwork during our "Homegrown Artist" exhibit to be shown in the Fireplace Room.
