Did you know that the Jack London Village, where Songbird Parlour is located, has some of the richest history in Sonoma County? Built in the 1800's the building was originally used to process the abundance of redwood in the area and was converted into a gristmill a few decades later, and eventually used to produce Brandy and Wine. When new ownership acquired the property in the 1960's it was reimagined as a sprawling community of eccentric artists, musicians, galleries and restaurants, including Van Morrison, Metallica, and the legendary muumuu-clad proprietress, Juanita, of Juanita's Galley. Now home to one of Sonoma Valley's most beautiful Sculpturesite Gardens and an interesting mix of retail, restaurant and wine-centric businesses, Jack London Village evokes a sense of place in it's vistors, and is sure to leave an impression on all who visit.
