Venue Setting

A Historic Ranch built in the 1800's, in North San Diego, now a private 20-acre parcel gated and private!  The all Glass and Adobe 6,000 Square Foot Mid-Century Modern home is designed by Frank Lloyd Wright's Senior Apprentice.  Originally the Property was 1,200 acres, owned by the Magee Family.  It's a unique and magical place to have your wedding and reception.  We now have a 20 acre parcel, which is the cream of the crop portion!  The Adobe House originally built, was set on our property, and was redesigned and completed in 1966.  On the property you will see Extra Large Beautifully Grand Gates, to open up to a long driveway... you will see a large pasture filled with farm animals and to the right, a nice big Arena (great for parking for those who don't take the shuttle provided with the Wedding Package).  It is a spacious piece of property and is completely private so only you, your guests and only those working your wedding will be at the Ranch. As many nights added on can make it even more fun and more of a family reunion and vacation. The Farm Animals include our Horses, a mini Horse, Llamas, Pot Bellied Pigs, Goats, Sheep, a Donkey, Turkeys, Chickens, Peacocks, Dogs -- Farm animals galore and a nice Old Red Barn set apart from the Ranch House and surrounding Pool, a Pool house kitchen (originally a slaughterhouse), and a beautiful grass area with a view of the Valley and on a clear day, the Ocean glitters off in the distance.   You must see it to appreciate it - It's instantly relaxing, comfortable and cozy. We take care of everything for your wedding, all you need to do is show up. We've got the rest covered (based upon all of your wishes, which we work on ahead of time!)  We love hearing, "You have thought of Everything!!!"  That's how it should be!!

Additional nights in the main Ranch House = $1,200

Rehearsal Rentals if lodging for rehearsal night is added on:  $10 per table; $3 per chair; $10 per tablecloth  

EVERYTHING you will need except for:  appetziers, flowers, dessert and officiant.  We DO include:  Wedding Dinner (your choice of our Caterers), Full Open Bar for 5 hrs Liquor/champagne, Glassware, Professional Bartenders, Professional Staff, String Lighting, Parasols, Rice Paper Lanterns, DJ, Dancefloor, Shuttle, Tables, Linens, Chairs, Mis-Matched China, Silver, Glassware, Dancefloor, Liability Insurance, Shuttle service, Free use of Prop Room, including lawn games, Day of Coordinator, full staff, clean-up, set-up, take-down, coffee station, fruit water, sun tea, lemonade and popcorn provided upon guests arrival.
Also Lodging for Wedding Night for main Ranch House AND Cottage for up to 20 overnight is included in package price!

You check in like it's your very own Ranch!  We include a 5 bedroom, 6,000 square foot Glass and Adobe Ranch Style Home, with 4 bathrooms, -- sleeping for 10 in beds, but up to 15 are allowed (couches, cots, air mattresses brought in, etc.) -- as well as a cottage, (originally a bunk house) which sleeps 5 more, with 2 bedrooms, 2 full size / 1 twin, 2 bathrooms, and a kitchenette.  

We have plenty of room for Dressing areas for both the Bride and Bridesmaids as well as Grooms and Groomsmen!  They can be completely separate.  The whole family can be part of the fesitivities of getting ready!  Typically the Groom gets ready in the Cottage, and the Bride gets ready in the main Ranch House!  

note:  our fees include all alcohol and food provided by our vendors, which is INCLUDED in the price!  You are welcome to also bring up your own alcohol as well.  Total cost for your wedding of 100 is $5,350 site fee plus {$195 per person x 100 =} $19,500 = $24,850 for 100 guests

Inside Scoop

We've been doings Weddings so long that we have it all down!  The inside scoop on us, is that you do not really need your own Coordinator!  We include one!  She is all you will need! Save the money -- unless you need someone ahead of time - that we don't do, but when it comes to the Day of your Wedding, have your friends and family take care of you - with food and drink, our girl will get everything done that you and she have discussed ahead of time!  Sometimes an extra day of coordinator doesn't work out well, as she is doing things on the day of, that we already do.... so as they say, when there are too many cooks in the kitchen..... :O)  

Also most people only regret not adding additional nights at the Ranch, and for the days they are staying at the Ranch, they regret going out golfing, etc. as they wished they had just stayed at the Ranch more, to enjoy it!

Venue Features
The Scene:
Our historic Ranch, called Condor's Nest, is set near the top of a mountain, and is now set on 20 acres.  Our property has an old Red Barn, a large Chicken Coup, a 6,000 Square foot Glass and Adobe Brick House, designed by Frank Lloyd Wright's Senior Apprentice, along with patios for each of the 5 bedrooms.  The grounds also have an old "Slaughterhouse" which is now our Pool Kitchen, along with a Cottage, which used to be an old bunk house.  We have a very large pool and several out-buildings that make the property more unique and even more photogenic, incuding a greenhouse!  It's all set up in a nice pattern, and even the Barn and animals are set "up-wind" so there is no smell whatsoever.  We've got a nice big Arena for parking, for those who don't wish to take the included Shuttle (to and from the local casino).  We want everyone to be safe by not driving our winding country mountain road.  
The main Ranch House was re-designed in the 60's, and a mid-century modern House in the shape of a Cross, (designed by Frank Lloyd Wright's Senior Apprentice) built by the famous Weir Brothers!  Completed in 1966, the main Ranch House, is very mid-century modern, with the cottage and other buildings including the Barn, being more around the 30's and 40's design, very vintage and charming.  
Standout Venue Features:

There is something about the Ranch that is unlike any other place.... we've heard it over and over again.  Particularly during a Wedding, everyone tells us it's "Magical", and it comes alive during our events!  When our guests as well as their guests arrive, a wave of calm and peace comes out.... You will have to see it and experience it to believe it!  

The guests love to grab a cocktail after the Wedding and head up to go see the Animals and give out a carrot or two!  It's a hoot!  The horses (4 large horses) and the mini horse "Shaggy", along with the Donkey Poncho, especially love it!   We've got llamas, pigs, goats, sheep, roosters, a Long-Horn Spanish Cow, and a Dairy Cow who also LOVE photos and carrots!  They all want to be in the photos!  

Extra Perks:
The Extra Perks about The Condor's Nest Ranch, is that lodging is included!  What is better than spending time with your loved one's -- up to 20 total can be onsite for all of the days you would like to stay!  The main Ranch House has a large kitchen with a big griddle, a commercial stove, as well as a warming drawer and commercial refridgerator!  It's attached to an extra large family room with an 80-inch TV.... so it's roomy and homey.  Beautiful leather and antiques, with animal hydes galore and gorgeous wood - yet it's not stuffy at all.  It's comfortable and casual and relaxing!  The rooms are set aback so for those who want to sleep, they won't be bothered while the fountain in the middle of the house is on!  We wanted to allow our couples to spend time with their families and closest friends, in order to make the BEST possible memories.  Memories are best when time is spent together, not some quick ceremony and reception.... you have to rush through and then everyone leaves...  We believe the Ranch is best shared and it has become more fulfilling to us than anything else we've ever done professionally or personally!  

Another GREAT perk we offer is a FREE Prop House to choose your decor from!  We have very cool old birdhouses, old Luggage, burlap runners for the aisle, and for the tables, all kinds of tables and antiques and collectibles for them to use for their Wedding!  We even include the Parasols for all of the guests in case it's sunny!  We've also got mid-century modern furniture for a lounge setup, free popcorn and a beverage station for all of your guests when they arrive - just in case they may be hungry!  We try to thnk of everything so everyone is comfortable and has a great time!!!

We are a private estate, therefore you are welcome to bring up your own food and load up the refridgerator and cupboards!  It's YOUR kitchen for the duration of your stay!   We also have FARM FRESH EGGS onsite daily!  

The Wedding Day is the Day we have our Caterer come in, as well as ALL of the other vendors to tend to your Wedding!  The ONLY items you need to bring to your Wedding are:  Desserts (many make them onsite the day or two before!) -- and Flowers (many pick them, or pick up buckets from LA Flower Mart, and with their girls, make their own! --we have NUMEROUS vases, including milk glass, ball jars, all kinds of vases to use!)  
Bars & Lounges:
You are welcome to bring up your own Alcohol and Beverages!  It is just like your own home on the Ranch, we want you to feel at home, so whatever you have at home, feel free to bring!   For the Wedding itself, we already include 5 hours of open bar, (we use a large Professional Bar Service Company, licensed and insured) including well drinks / spirits, and beer, wine, sodas, water.... including the champagne toast!  All glassware is included as well!  If you'd like to upgrade for everything you have that option, OR you can simply bring in your own alcohol to be served, and if they run out of yours, they will then serve what is included!  (rather than upgrade for all as a per person charge)
