The Lowdown Venue Setting
Positioned at the end of a tree lined drive, the Laurel features three distinct spaces for guest's use: The Great Hall, large enough to accommodate up to 325 seated guests with standing room for just over 350 guests, the interior features an expansive 4,600 square foot great hall that may be split into smaller rooms. Stone and wood detailing, along with large chandeliers, makes guests feel as if they are visiting a luxury Hill Country home. The venue has been thoughtfully planned to include space for band set-up, a prep kitchen for the area’s best caterers, and a large indoor-outdoor fireplace built into the outside patio. The attached Chapel, which may hold up to 275 guests, features the same wood and stone detail as the rest of the venue, and looks out upon the sprawling green lawn and the oaks, mesquites and evergreens that surround the building. The covered patio, with over 1,500 square feet, features a fireplace and will be the perfect space for cocktail hour or lounge seating. The patio will lead directly to the expansive outdoor green space, where both ceremonies and receptions may be held. Wedding parties will also enjoy access to bride and groom suites both before and after the event, perfect for getting ready and relaxing throughout the day. Nestled in the middle of the DFW area, minutes from the Interntaional airport, resort style hotels, and one of Texas' destination capitals, Grapevine.

Just as the Hill Country has the beautifully painted sky sunsets, the glimpse from the outdoor patio to the west will make you feel that the fast paced city that surrounds you has disappeared. Outdoor ceremony options within the 3-tiered landscaped green space are outlined in an Austin stone to match the building. The artwork that lines the hallways are Texas landscapes shot by local photographers. The owners are a husband and wife team that added their favorite element to events they have attended, cozy getaway nooks from the main event space. Hallway seating and living room style setups are nestled throughout the Laurel to promote wandering and exploring.

Dual private entries to either the Chapel or the Great Hall allow for warm and welcoming first impressions for guests as they enter the Laurel for the first time. Many ceiling heights of 10 feet to 28 feet allow each room to have a feeling of grandeaur as they are entered. Large open windows and glass doors allow for ample natural light to fill the space and promote and indoor, outdoor flow from the great hall to the back patio spcaes. Entry doors to the main spaces clear 9 feet and are made of solid, stained, wood. Standout Venue Features: Estate style drive in, with circle drive drop off and pick up areas lead right to the flagstone style pathways looping around to the side green space of the property, or directly to the two separate, front entries.
