Venue Setting

Located in Ball Ground, GA, The Wheeler House is a rustic barn wedding venue. Bursting with Southern charm, this romantic setting is perfect for quaint countryside celebrations. It dates back to 1906 and was built by the owner of the Wheeler lumber yard with heart pine. Surrounded by century-old oak trees, this enchanting venue sets the scene for an unforgettable celebration. In 2010, The Wheeler House was purchased by Georgia native Lee Lusk. He restored the house for the first time since its inception and, in 2011, the property welcomed its first wedding.

The barn, built from reclaimed wood, was added in 2012 and serves as the venue's main event space. The surrounding town of Ball Ground sits at the foot of the Appalachians, and is bursting with small-town charm. It offers various cafes and sights for you and your loved ones to enjoy after your wedding day. The Wheeler House has different event spaces across the grounds that you can use throughout your special day. A lush, draped arbor offers a picture-perfect setting for exchanging your vows. Then, you can make your way to a romantic reception with your new spouse. 14 eye-catching chandeliers illuminate the barn and the grounds, creating a romantic atmosphere. The team here likes to create bespoke celebrations for every couple, letting the decor reflect their personalities. There are a number of event packages that you can choose from, depending on your budget. The team at The Wheeler House is honored to play a role in making your dream a reality. Nestled on 22 acres with a view of one of the highest peaks in Ball Ground, The Wheeler Cottages are the perfect location for your wedding weekend getaway! Located .25 miles down the road from The Wheeler House, these cottages are exclusive only for Wheeler House clients. Each cottage has 3 bedrooms/1 bathroom and combined can sleep roughly 30 guests. Each cotttages is equiped with a full kitchen and bathroom, gathering/dining area, and back porches to overlook our custom built firepit! Clients can secure them for one night or the entire weekend!
