The Scene:

Go ahead and expect the delightfully unexpected from the moment you open your eyes in the morning. A stunning sunrise, a playful baby rhino, a bubble bath awaiting your return courtesy of your valet. We are all about romance and offer the perfect honeymoon destination. Experience the lavishness of all of our private houses - The Dog House, The Honeymoon House, The Nut House, The Tree House and The Bird House to name some options.

There is no set pattern to days at Tongabezi. A wide range of activities are on offer during your stay at Tongabezi. Visit Victoria Falls, enjoy an early morning Game Drive, drift down the Zambezi River on a Sunset Cruise, or book a romantic Sampan dinner floating out on the river or enjoy a private picnic at one of our pop up sand bars.

When it comes to the human ritual of dining, Tongabezi is consistently voted a compulsive overachiever by our guests. Whether you consider food a means to improve health, gain pleasure, refresh body and mind, explore new experiences, initiate conversation or strengthen relationships we have every base covered. Venue options start in your room – there is a dedicated dining area in all of our Houses and Cottages and both our properties have a number of public dining spots too.

There are also some great activities for adrenaline junkies – white water rafting, elephant back safaris, microlight and helicopter flights, or the famous Victoria Falls bungee jump. Not to mention a dip in Devil's Pool right at the edge of Victoria Falls. See all inclusive and exclusive activities here.

Community-minded? Do visit our Tongabezi Trust School, Tujatane. Our students are officially amongst the best performers in Zambia, regularly winning national drama, poetry, and traditional dancing competitions, and they’d love the chance to show off their skills.

Design:
Our five Houses and four River Cottages are individually styled and cater for two to five guests. Experience lavish romance at the Honeymoon House, wake up amongst the birds in the Tree House, or enjoy a romantic dinner overlooking the Zambezi River from the private deck of your own River Cottage.

The Lookout and Hangout were conceived as the ultimate chill-out zones perched on the edge of the Zambezi River. You can book your lunch or dinner at either venue, or dine on our Dining Deck next to the fire pit surrounded by exotic lanterns. The Pool is set against a rocky outcrop with a large lounge bed in the treetops overlooking the lazy Zambezi River.
Standout Venue Features:
'Welcome to Tongabezi'. If you've ever been our guest, you'll always remember the warm Zambian hospitality of our team. After toasting your arrival with a local aperitif, your personal valet will take you to one of our unique Houses or River Cottages along the banks of the Zambezi and will take care of you for the duration of your stay.

Dine on the Sampan floating platform out on the Zambezi water.

Make a trip to Livingstone Island at Victoria Falls, exclusive access to this private island at the edge of the falls via Tongabezi, and take a dip in the famous Devil's Pool if you dare or maybe even Angel's Pool. Take a peek over the edge of one of the seven natural wonders of the world.

Visit Tujatane - The Tongabezi Trust School - and meet the children and teachers of this local community school which has only been made possible thanks to the generous donations from previous guests.

Spend a night on Sindabezi Island - a private eco-friendly island in the middle of the Zambezi River with barefoot luxury accommodation.

Get married on the edge of Victoria Falls  - there is no more romantic backdrop than this! Spend your honeymoon with and stay in Honeymoon House.

Check out the range of unique and varied activities on offer from Tongabezi here.
