Guests at Under Canvas Acadia will be able to enjoy activities in and around Surry, like hiking. Guests can also warm up near the outdoor fireplace after a day of cycling. We have 63 safari inspired tents in several different style options. Our tents include a king bed and a private, ensuite bathroom. If at full capacity, camp sleeps around 180 guests. We have several great options for families attending your wedding as well.

Deluxe: The Deluxe tent boasts its own private ensuite bathroom inside your tent which includes a hot shower, sink and flushing toilet. A wood stove keeps the tent warm at night and a private deck allows you to enjoy the night stars.

Stargazer: Comes with its own viewing window above the king bed to stargaze at night while keeping warm with a wood stove at night. The ensuite bathroom includes a hot shower, flushing toilet, and sink.

Suite Tents: The Suite is ideal for couples or families and includes a king bed and a pullout sofa. Enjoy your own private ensuite bathroom inside your tent which includes a shower, sink, and flushing toilet. A wood stove keeps the tent warm & a private deck allows you to enjoy the stars.

Cadillac Mountain Suite: The Cadillac Mountain Suite is a two-tent suite, perfect for familes or small groups traveling together. It features a Suite tent with a king bed and pullout sofa, and a Deluxe tent with 3 twin beds. Enjoy two private ensuite bathrooms inside your tent which both include a shower, sink, and flushing toilet. A wood stove keeps each tent warm & a connected private deck allows you to enjoy the stars and your own personal firepit.

We also have some tent styles that have a kid's tent beside it. This includes two twin beds suitable for children up to 18 years of age.

Inside Scoop

Guests are required to show a photo identification and credit card upon check-in. Please note that all Special Requests are subject to availability and additional charges may apply. A damage deposit of USD 50 is required on arrival. This will be collected by credit card. You should be reimbursed on check-out. Your deposit will be refunded in full via credit card, subject to an inspection of the property. For health and safety reasons, we do not allow food inside your tents. We ask that you keep all food in a locked vehicle. Beverages of any kind are permitted in the tents.

With safari-inspired accommodations and waterfront views, our property is the perfect place to experience the beauty of coastal Maine. Our 100 acre camp features more than 1200 feet of coastline, dense woods, and views of Acadia National Park. We are located about 35 minutes from the national park, but you will feel completely enveloped by nature during your visit to Under Canvas Acadia.

Our property is meant to integrate with the natural landscape, so you can fully enjoy the outdoors but sleep in comfort! Our hand crafted bed frames, luxury mattresses, luxurious sheets, cowhide rugs, wood stove ,and other special touches make you feel cozy and comfortable in your tents.
Standout venue features:
We guarantee that the majority of your wedding guests will have never been to a glamping wedding before! Invite your friends and family to spend time outside together with an incredible view. Every evening meet at the firepits (which out staff will light and keep burning) and enjoy free s'mores. Supplies will be ready for you to enjoy.

We have a café style restaurant on site, Embers. Come enjoy made to order breakfast and dinner. The food is delicious and not "camp" food, no sloppy joes here! Enjoy appetizers, entrees, and deserts.
