As the leaves begin to transform into shades of amber and crimson and the air begins to cool, we can’t help but feel nostalgic for sweet summertime. We recently caught up with Leah Marie Photography about capturing all 242 acres of Galway Downs, an equestrian rich land in Temecula, completely transporting us back to those much needed sensations of summer.
This private estate, surrounded by lush rolling hills and major-league level wineries, comes together to create the perfect balance between traditional and contemporary. We’re not done just yet. Boasting high-beam ceilings, a lily pond, vintage succulent filled troughs, modern craftsmanship and seamless indoor-outdoor arrangements, this place truly holds up to be a jewel under the sun.

What were some of the highlights of your experiences at the venue?
Some of the highlights of Galway Downs is that everything you need for your wedding day is included in your package. The venue is a private estate and when you have your event there it is closed for just you and your guests. 
What made the venue a great backdrop and setting for photos?
Galway Downs is the perfect venue for pictures because there are so many different background options. Big oak trees, desert type sand pockets, wooden benches, grassy lawns, quaint bridges, lily pad ponds and not to mention the beautiful barn.
Favorite existing design elements of the venue?
Our favorite area has got to be the leaveless tree sand area (not the best descriptive)-- the sun sets behind this area and makes for amazing pictures.
Did you do anything in the surrounding area while you were there? Any great restaurants?
All of the Temecula wineries are just a 10 minute drive away. Ponte, South Coast, Wiens, Lorimar, and so much more.
Any inside tips??
You have to try the Jack Daniels sauce that the chefs make for the tri-tip!! It's amazing :)
After chatting with the ladies of Leah Marie and admiring their many photographs of Brittany and Brent’s beautiful California country-esque wedding, something dawned on us - life is pretty darn sweet when you find yourself watching the sunset over Galway Downs.
