We've all been there. Anxious for adventure but lazy with weakness from the past week. Especially in the busy colder months. Winter has become known as the season to hibernate, stay cozy and stay away from anything outdoors unless it has something to do with buying all those holiday gifts. It's time to wake those bones up, folks. We gotta get out there! And what better way to explore than to explore with your better half, your person, your human. This month we challenge you to plan a surprise date adventure that will WOW that special someone. Whether you've been dating for 5 months, married for what may seem like centuries, or just trying to get inspired for a first date. What prompted this report? Well, our very own, Nathan Mueller, recently gave his gal a balloon and whisked her away to Palomar Mountain just in time to catch the winter gloom and fog after a passing storm. Yea, it all started with a balloon. You see, when you give a girl a balloon you must follow with a surprise adventure and a picnic at a scenic location. It's the perfect formula for a winter date. - Roadtrip to the mountains for a picnic. Don't forget the balloons!
- Build a campfire and make s'mores.
- Bundle up, grab some hot cocoa and take a sleigh ride.
- Go glamping in your own backyard.
- Scout out a perfect frozen pond or local rink and go ice skating!
- Head to the river for a picnic on a kayak.
- Go sledding and build a snow fort.
