Adventurous glamazons have embraced the glamping trend in Great Outdoors gathering spots around the globe and we couldn’t be giddier ‘bout it. This week’s #birthdaybucketlist comes to you courtesy of the ultimate hen party hotspot Down Under, gorgeous new ‘glamp-site’ St. Jerome’s The Hotel, which is decidedly less “out-in-the-woods” and more uniquely “up-on-the-roof.”  St. Jerome’s The Hotel is uniquely situated on the rooftop of Melbourne Central in the middle of the city, and comprised of 20 spacious world-class canvas bell tents outfitted with all the trimmings of a luxury hotel perfect for all your soiree #squadgoals. So gather up your girls for a #birthdaybucket list glamping adventure – urban jungle-style, one part “into the wild” and two parts “rooftop garden party!”

Wake Up to Breakfast In Your Own Beautiful Bell Tent

Wake up at your own lesuirely pace - limbs tangled luxuriously in premium linen sheets. Each beautiufl bell tent is deliciously decked out with a pillow top bed with premium linen, throws and robes, split system air conditioning, and a complimentary stocked esky (cutest word ever for "mini fridge) with local craft beer and water as well as a a Samsung Tablet loaded with Stan for your movie viewing pleasure. Oh, did we forget to mention the gourmet breakfast boxes delivered directly to your door each morning of your stay?

Buttery Croissants in Your Bell Tent

Pop Down from Your Pretty Perch

Once you feel sprightly enough to start your day wrap yourself in one of the cosy Linen House animal print robes that comes in your tent! Get out and gab with your gals over gourmet coffee and make plans to pop down from your pretty perch and explore the urban jungle that surrounds you.

On-hand are Dream Makers or reception Gurus, ready to curate an experience for you based on your group's gathering needs. They've got the hotline bling on everything from spas to your own personal stylist, local watering holes, shopping or even guided art and chocolate tours! Our vote however, is for good old-fashioned pizza and bowling with your bests - you'll receive a voucher for complimentary pizza at Slice Girls and complimentary bowling at Strike Bowling, boom. At this point, you're probably thinking (as were we) does it get any bespoke or better?

The Happiest Hour

Yes, yes it does get better. After a round of bowling and a slice, you should probably head back to St. Jerome's for a sweet treat!  Indulge in sweet treats from Cupcake Central from 3pm to 5pm which leads right into a complimentary cocktail during Cocktail Hour from 5pm to 7pm! Can you imagine a day filled with more fun than waking up in your own bell tent, enjoying breakfast in bed giggling over gourmet boxes with your bests, then heading out to complimentary bowling & pizza followed by cupcakes and cocktails! For you Vitamin D lovers, we'd argue heading outside of the city for your heady dose isn't looking quite so dreamy after a peek into this pretty, rooftop perch!

Kum-ba-ya with your Crew

Afternoons at St. Jerome's during cocktail hour are perfect for whiling away the hours, sipping slowly and languishing this time with your favorite faces on your private patios or in the communal space. Strum a campfire song or two and kum-bay-ya as the sun melts itself slowly into the city skyline. Sunset selfie? Check.

Pushies for Purpose

Feeling a little fiestier? Take summer by the handlebars on one a YGAP Pushies for Purpose. Cruise around the rooftop - and know your rentla fee is going to a cause supporting entrepreneurs and their life's mission to support people in poverty all over the world.

The General Store

As night falls, hit up the General Store, where you may or may not have already sipped on some sweet and spirited libations.

The General Store has everything that you might’ve forgotten, plus a few extras that you might want to take home. Besides a stocked bar (alcoholic drinks available for purchase), a large communal table great for storytelling, coffee table books depicting some of Melbourne’s greatest bars and restaurants, cards and games like Connect 4 for authentic camp entertainment, and even Camp Counsellor T-Shirts if you want to take one home with you or go twinsie-town with your ride-or-dies.

They focus on stocking as much local produce into the fridges as they can. You’ll find Temple Brewery Beers from Brunswick, Feathertop Wines from Porepunkah in Victoria’s high country, and Mitchelton Wines from Nagambie.

Need a Nibble?

Need a little nibble to go with that glass of proseco you're sippin on with your pals? Order hand-crafted and made-to-order cheese plates.

Gearing up for the night? You take care of sipping champagne, Sonos will take care of the tunes. Nowhere else in the world do you have the opporunity to glamp under the skyline of a big city as you and your bests have the ultimate creature comforts campout. So tie up those counselor tees, sink your teeth into delicious bites and clink glasses on a gorgeous night for the ages as you dance under the light of the moon.

Don't forget to try the Gelato Messina's take on camping staple - Tinned Spaghetti and Meatballs - delivered straight to your tent. Complimentary with your stay! (Yes, that's a chocolate tin can and candied "spaghetti" and "meatballs!")

Instead of trekking hours outside the city, treat your 'ride-or-dies' to 24 hours of an urban jungle glamping adventure! Dance into the wee hours of the night, lit by moonlight and the twinkling lights of the city.  Nourish your body with delicious, organic food, indulge in sweet treats, laugh with abandon, sip handcrafted cocktails, bowl a strike (or two) and let these perfectly placed bell tents, in a perch high above the city, be the much-needed respite from the stresses, far below.

P.S. St Jerome's Laneway Festival. is on Feb 13..  make Slice Girls West a stop on your food tour.
