Archive Rentals sure knows how to throw a party—or a “Cocktail Conference” to be more precise. At a spacious two-level industrial space charmed with lush plants, pastel-colored flowers, and of course stylish furniture, the Southern Californian vintage furniture rental company put on a wonderfully moody and romantic event for industry insiders.

It was a memorable class-act of a social and we at The Venue Report had the absolute enjoyable privilege of attending. Since we had such a blast, we figured it’d make for ideal inspiration when it came to your own celebration of romance. The Archive Rentals crew was more than happy to talk to us, so you could scoop some styling tips for your own festive Valentine’s Day party.

What was the main inspiration behind this event?

This glamorous golden age inspired party was held at industrial Luce Loft in the heart of downtown San Diego, and gave industry pros a much needed reprieve from peak season madness, to mix, mingle, and make moves on the dance floor. Some of the best in the event business, from designers to photographers to florists, gathered for another Archive Cocktail Conference.

Why was this venue perfect for the event?

As if the space wasn’t rad enough, Archive Rentals decked it out with modern yet luxurious lounges that created the perfect ambiance for a stylish night out. It felt like a night amongst the stars with fur throws, black leather chairs and rose gold accents. Tunes played and guests jived along with the classic black and white film being projected onto a large wall.

What did the menu look like? Any standout dishes or drinks?

Barcon shook up the party with a mad Manhattan and a gin fizz that paired perfectly with A Miho Experience’s decedent hors d’oeuvres. Tender lamb chops and fried squash blossoms were a few of the favs.

Can we have some insight into the amazing team that made it all happen?

Audio and visuals provided by Vario Productions. Bloom Babes had everyone in awe over the lush, sprawling florals in the perfect moody palette. In keeping with this event’s impeccable style, photographer Suzanne of She Wanders captured it all so chicly, while holding court as the life of the party. Cheers were made and a good time was had by all at this memorable affair.

Was there anything especially memorable about the event?

The most popular spot at the party was taking vintage style photos in man on the moon photo backdrop provided Archive.
