Set on the Sea of Cortés in Baja California, Viceroy Los Cabos is an architecturally stunning resort that stands in a league of its own. The charming, historic streets of San Jose del Cabo may be just a few minutes away, but you could easily spend an entire weekend only exploring the luxury beachfront property. Soft white buildings here are connected by raised walkways, and during a simple wander of the grounds you might find yourself under a massive bird’s nest structure, walking on water over a series of pools or heading up to the rooftop for a cocktail. Whichever route you take, this spot is one you’ll certainly want to bring some friends along to enjoy.

“Alexa, please open the blinds so I can see the sunrise”

The modern rooms, suites and residences at this Viceroy property are light and airy with floor-to-ceiling windows, big, cushy beds and some with beautiful gathering spaces. Since you’re traveling with a crew, you might opt for the five-bedroom villa so everyone gets their own private space and you can all share access to your own rooftop garden, private pool and spacious living and kitchen area with a towering wall of windows. Or, you can play it smaller with a two-bedroom ocean view suite with a king bed and two double beds, a terrace, two baths, and a cozy lounge room with a big TV for late night movie sessions. Tech geeks will love the detailed features like automated blackout curtains and a voice-automated guest engagement system with Alexa.

Enjoying Your Stay

We all know that when traveling with a crowd, it’s important that everyone has activity options that work for them. At this property, it’s easy to spend your days on the white sandy beaches, relaxing poolside or getting out in the water for some snorkeling, sailing or swimming with the dolphins. For those who want a little extra R&R, there’s a full-service spa that offers massages, body treatments and wraps, facials and more. Fitness fiends will be happy to know that the fitness center offers classes like kickboxing, spinning, matte Pilates, SUP yoga and TRX. And when you’re all ready to totally unwind at the end of the day, you can hit up the game room or book a night at the private 19-seat movie theater and snuggle up with a good movie, popcorn and your traveling squad.

Gatherings, Meals & Indulgences

There are multiple bars and dining spaces at this expansive property, allowing you to opt for a different vibe at every meal. There’s a rooftop restaurant called Cielomar that’s absolutely gorgeous for a sunset cocktail and dinner session. The poolside all-day dining space, Casero, is a goodie for homestyle meals. Nido, the nest atop a pool, makes a lively spot for dining on ceviche and sipping pisco cocktails. And if a nightcap mezcal in order, the Otro Bar is a gem. All of these spaces and quite a few others can be used for private events or group bookings. So, to our next group getaway at this spot we say, “yes way, José!”
