Awang-Awang translates to “floating in the space between heaven and earth,” and you can easily see why it’s the name of this gorgeous villa in Bali. Located just ten minutes from Ubud, the rainforest setting with a river flowing below is about as heavenly as it gets. Among the rice terraces, lush jungles and sacred volcano, this villa is perched in a gloriously green expanse. Shouldn’t all birthdays be spent surrounded by birds, butterflies, trees, and wildflowers? We think so.

Villas for Days
Villa Awang-Awang is a five-bedroom villa with its own infinity pool, marble bathrooms, soaking tubs, a shower deck, terraces, and sun deck. You could easily take over this spot with a handful of your besties for the best birthday weekend ever, or add to the guest list and rent out the nearby villas as well. There’s a total of five villas on the property, sleeping 26 guests in all. How's that for a party of epic proportion!

Make it a Party
Head to the open-air thatched roof pavillion for morning yoga and a meditation session as you ring in your next year around the sun. Or, opt for using the same space to throw a cocktail party or late-night dance party with your besties. Cross a few more things off the #birthdaybucketlist with a stroll through the Indonesian gardens followed by a full body scrub and massage at the on-site spa. Who said adult birthdays should be understated? We say bring on the luxury.
