- The Scene:
- Lillstreet Loft is located in the heart of Chicago's Ravenswood corridor. Filled with gigantic trees, spacious lawns, and old renovated homes, the Ravenswood neighborhood is a lovely place to get away from hectic city life, while remaining in the middle of a thriving community that has it all. Minutes from Lake Michigan, Wrigley Field and the Brown Line 'El", guests will find a slew of Ravenswood specialty shops, boutiques, cafés and taverns.
One of Ravenswood's crowning glories is Lillstreet Art Center - located just a heartbeat away from the Loft. Lillstreet originated in Lincoln Park, but the 40-year-old institution (which has hosted renouned artists across the globe) was moved up to Ravenswood and continues to serve as a pillar of the Chicago art community. - Design:
- The Loft is inconspicuously tucked into an old brick building which was originally built as a turn-of-the-century factory. Converted from a tiny theater in 2013, the space maintains a bright spirited energy and is brimming with warm vibes. The walls and shelves are decorated with artwork from Lillstreet Art Center artists, connecting the venue to its core - the Chicago artist community.
- Extra Perks:
- Rental rates include a wide selection of eclectic furniture (chairs, high boys, cafe tables, dining tables - most of which do not require linens) audio visual technology. evening rental rates include bartender/security staff.
- Food, Restaurants, Cafes:
- Lillstreet Loft is unique in that while it offers a collection of preferred caterers, event hosts are permitted to use most caterers, restaurants and even food trucks of choice. It's important to note that the venue does have a kitchenette but not a separate kitchen/preparation area; so food must be prepared in the space and served appetizer or buffet style. On the neraby dining front, a long list of excellent restaurants has made a blip on Chicago's culinary radar. in our neighborhood. Romantic French bistros, trendy sushi bars, unforgettable Italian pasterias, and satisfying American diners cover any mood or craving with style and masterfully prepared meals.
- Bars & Lounges:
- While we do staff your event with a knowledgable, insured and certified bartender, event hosts are required to supply their own spirits, beer & wine.
