Okay, we’re going to say it – fall may be our new favorite season. And if you’re saying “I do” to an autumn wedding, we know there are a few must-haves to make your big day shine.  From historic charm to fiery foliage to breathtaking views, location is everything for your autumnal affair. Which is why we set out to find the very best the US has to offer for its most beloved season. Virginia is a dream. Throughout the state, sunshine washes over its green hills, with trees sprinkled throughout farmland and cottages tucked away in forests. The entire state looks like it could be quaint postcards taped together. “Old Dominion” glistens in sunlight and glows in starlight, and it’s beyond perfect for a wedding. We dug through our absolute favorite wedding venues across the state, from farmhouse manors in the country to historic hotels in the city. Any of these could easily be a couple’s dream venue, whether an intimate dinner party in a posh courtyard or hundreds of relatives and friends cackling wild under the moon. These are the best wedding venues in Virginia.

‘Tis the season for gathering around big, communal tables with friends old and new, or soaking up a little time together by the campfire with a full bodied glass of red. As soon as that first hint of fall foliage hits, we’re on the hunt for the most decadent pies, terroir driven wines, beautiful farmhouse restaurants and places to soak up the season’s best food and wine.
