Now the bunkers are a shelter for our chickens, bees and sheep.

Chill out in the sauna or the garden with its phenomenal view over the WW I & II bunkers. In the meantime, the kids will tire themselves out in the entertainment room or the pool.

Knokke-Heist is a beautiful rural area at the North-Eastern seaside of the Belgian coast. The area is adjacent to the Dutch border, the two countries separated by the Zwin nature reserve. Originally, Knokke-Heist arose as a result of the construction of dikes to protect the area of the Zwin sea-arm.

Design:
The place has been kept as serene as possible: black, white and gray predominate. With the help of architects Govaert & Vanhoutte from Bruges, interior designer Anversa from Antwerp and landscape architect Leon Van Haesebrouck we turned the place into a house with guest rooms.

We opted for a kitchen in black powder-coated steel from Danish brand Vipp, which has a legacy in steelwork. The black kitchen was an ideal match for the concrete details of the villa.
